HIS STORY: Achilles is a 6-year-old male dog, standing 0.5m high and weighing 18 kg.
Achilles’ story is one of survival. He was found abandoned and skinny in the mountains, disoriented and dehydrated, unable to eat or drink. Rushed to the vet clinic, he spent 10 days undergoing liquid therapy until he regained enough strength to eat on his own.
He has been neutered and has a hunting instinct. Achilles doesn’t bark, and he’s friendly with female dogs, though he feels uneasy around dominant male dogs. He hasn’t been tested with cats yet. Achilles is leash-trained and currently in Patras.
Although a bit shy and timid when faced with new surroundings, Achilles quickly reveals his feisty, spunky personality. He is energetic and loves human interaction, thriving on constant engagement. In his current environment, when he’s bored, he entertains himself by moving stones as if they were toys or gazing up at birds. He needs a home where he can stay busy and stimulated, preferably with active companions who aren’t dominant, as he may rush up to sniff them excitedly.
Achilles is affectionate and loves being part of a family. Whether it’s playtime in a fenced yard, a neighbourhood walk, or cuddling on the couch, he is always up for some quality time. His playful yet gentle nature makes him a wonderful companion, especially for families with older children (above 10) as he may jump up in excitement while playing. Now, Achilles is ready to find a forever home where he can thrive and be loved. Could you be the one to give him the life he deserves?
