Siena was found on 22/06/23 by a resident in a suburb of Athens in a terrible state, hidden in a creek, waiting for her slow death. Volunteers rushed to the place and saw an emaciated creature, being eaten alive by worms, without any power to hold on to life. With the support of Dog’s Voice, that vouched to cover all medical expenses, she was immediately taken to a clinic, where all the worms were removed and the x-rays showed a comminuted fracture on the hind right leg, for which she underwent a reconstructive surgery. Siena fought and made it! She is now healthy and being fostered in a volunteer’s home until she finds her own home.

Siena was born approximately in 2021 and weighs 23kg. She still is wary of strangers but she trusts easily and starts showing her quirky character. She can live together at home with dogs and cats with no issues and she is trained to stay inside her crate for as long as needed. She relieves herself outside, provided that she goes for a walk at least twice a day. She is great on the leash and doesn’t pull. She isn’t a very high-energy dog, so she doesn’t need a lot of tiring out, but she tends to be enthusiastic, so she needs the appropriate approach, with patience, in order for her to learn to manage her enthusiasm. We are looking for the person who will single her out and make her part of a family.
