HIS STORY: Urgently seeking a home for “Stratis”, a beautiful male Segugio. He is soon to be released from a vet’s cage which will be devastating for him.
Stratis was abandoned at three months old and forced to survive on the streets. Bullied by other older strays, he barely managed to eat. One day, cruel people tied his legs and threw him into a stream, leaving him to die. He was rescued just hours from death but though his physical wounds healed, his emotional scars remain.
Stratis has been in the care of a fantastic and generous local vet for a year but he urgently needs a stable home. He struggles with memories of abuse, especially around other dogs. A decision about his future is due Monday — time is running out.
With the right structure and care, he can blossom into a loyal and loving companion. His eyes carry the weight of his experiences, but they also hold the promise of trust for someone willing to take the time to heal his heart.
